Tower Bridge

One of London's most easily recognisable landmarks, Tower Bridge is steeped in history and offers awe-inspiring views of the River Thames and the city which flanks the water's edge.

Constructed by architect Sir Horace Jones between 1886 and 1894, the structure used more than 70,000 tons of concrete and took more than 400 workers years to complete.

Now, the bridge is used by more than 40,000 people each day as they pass from one side of the city to the other.

Connecting the north and south side of the city, the two towers are linked by a suspension bridge and pedestrian walkway which sits more than 40-metres above the river during high tide. It offers a great vantage point of the river and the many vessels that pass beneath the tower each day.

Climbing to the top on a tour not only gives you an excellent insight into the role that Tower Bridge has played for the city over the years, it also gives you an incredible perspective on the city.
