You’re spoilt for choice in London when it comes to choosing delicious places to dine out. With every type of dietary requirement and taste catered for, there really is something for everyone to enjoy.

While you may want to venture further afield and explore the culinary delights that London has to offer, there’s nothing wrong with keeping things simple and enjoying food and drink at the Montcalm Royal London City Hotel.

With two bars and two restaurants to choose from, it’s the perfect venue for a variety of different occasions. Whether it be business meetings, romantic dinners or lunch with the whole family, enjoy comfort, style and delicious food during your stay in London.

Burdock at The Royal London House

This informal restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a quick bite at breakfast or lunchtime. Frequented by city explorers and working professionals, you’re sure to feel right at home amongst the striking copper and turquoise interior. The exposed brickwork and inventive lighting makes the restaurant the perfect spot for those who enjoy relaxing in modern, stylish settings.

The food

As you are in the capital of England, it seems somewhat fitting to tuck into some of the freshest, seasonal British produce. The group menu provides a range of classic dishes including salads, pasta dishes and burgers, perfect for filling up between meetings or refuelling after a busy day shopping on Oxford Street. If you fancy indulging, why not tuck into one of the delectable deserts?  Options available include banoffee pie and sticky toffee pudding.

If you’re away with friends on a weekend break at the Montcalm Royal London City Hotel and would prefer tucking into something slightly more informal, the bar platter menu has some great options. The shuffle sharing platters come in meat, fish and veggie options, so there’s something to suit everybody. Sample hummus, chilli salt squid and pork and beef meatballs while you enjoy a bottle of bubbly and catch up with your friends. The bar stocks a wide variety of sparkling wines as well as an extensive selection of red, white and rose wine. If it’s a hot day, sip on a beer instead. They serve Heineken, Long Arm Brewery and FREEDOM.

Aviary at the Royal London House

When you’re after fine dining in a glamorous setting where you can enjoy exceptional views of the city, this is the place to go. The Aviary is situated on the tenth floor of our hotel Finsbury Square, giving diners the chances to enjoy captivating views of the city while they dig in to international dishes that are complemented by an inventive cocktail menu, making it an ideal location for early evening drinks before heading to a London show or out on the town.

The restaurant even opens up onto a stunning south-facing terrace that is perfect for enjoying a crisp glass of wine and nibbles on a summer evening.
