The Whispering Gallery
You may not know this but, if you head to the top of St Paul’s Cathedral you can check out the Whispering Gallery. The Whispering Gallery is something quite unique and though a fun activity for all ages, there’s a romantic spin when you head there with your partner. Stand on opposite sides of the room, whisper something romantic and the other person will be able to hear your message as if by magic. The Cathedral itself is also beautiful of course with its beautiful Baroque style, as designed in 1673 by Sir Christopher Wren.
A romantic break in London wouldn’t be complete without a blissful evening overlooking the city. Primrose Hill is on the northern side of Regent’s Park and though it is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon or a romantic stroll, it also provides the ideal backdrop for an evening with your love. Primrose Hill offers impressive views of the city that really comes into their own as the sun is setting. Take a picnic and a few glasses of wine and sit back and enjoy one of London’s most famous views at dusk.
Enjoy picture postcard views and a glass of bubbly at the London Eye
What could be more romantic than being suspended up high above the city, with birds eye views of the whole of London spread before. If you and your loved one have a head for heights, book a romantic capsule for two on the London Eye and enjoy an exclusive look at the city from high above. An early morning or late night visit is especially romantic. The London Eye offers a champagne experience with a glass of chilled bubbly served up in your capsule for extra romance points.
Get dressed up and see a show
Nothing says old school glamour like getting dressed up and heading out to see a show. Why not treat your loved one to a night at the theatre and go all out with a romantic dinner or stylish cocktails either before or after? There are hundreds of shows to choose from and many a star treading the boards on any night of the week so you should have no trouble choosing the perfect show to cap your romantic weekend in London.
