Are you a keen photographer or artist with an eye for an incredible cityscape? Maybe you just enjoy drinking in the views of sprawling cities and marvelling at the amazing metropolis that is the city of London?

Whatever your reasons for seeking out spectacular views, here are a few of our favourite places in London. Each of our suggestions offers phenomenal views of the city so be sure to check out at least one or two the next time you join us at our 5-star hotels in London.

Primrose Hill

If you don’t mind an early start from your London accommodation and like a little exercise before breakfast, then the sunrise view from Primrose Hill simply can’t be beaten.

With a 70-metre climb to the top amidst beautifully maintained parklands, reaching the summit of Primrose Hill is well worth the effort and early start as you will be rewarded with a treat for the eyes if you get there as the sun begins to rise on the capital.

Keep an eye out for the engraved quotation from famous artist William Blake during your visit, and if you are very lucky, you might even see some kite flyers on windy days using the amazing green space to add a rainbow of colours to the sky.

To reach Primrose Hill from our 5-star hotels in London, take the Tube to Chalk Farm Station using the Northern line.

Sky Gardens

If the weather isn’t being too kind during your stay at our London accommodation, then the Sky Garden offers a perfect vantage point of the city. It’s also a great spot that can help you stay warm and dry if rain threatens.

Home to three stories of immaculately landscaped gardens situated at 20 Fenchurch Street, this is the highest public garden in London and provides 360-degree uninterrupted views of the London skyline.

Complete with an outdoor terrace which can be enjoyed on warmer days, it’s still wonderful in winter. Don’t worry about any rain either as if the weather isn’t so great, you can enjoy astounding views of the city from the interior of the building thanks to the floor to ceiling glass windows which surround every side of the landscaped gardens.

To reach the Sky Gardens from our 5-star hotels in London, head to your nearest tube station and take the Northern line to Bank Station. When you arrive, the entrance to the Sky Garden is located just a few minutes’ walk away.

Aviary Rooftop Bar & Restaurant

If you want to combine your love of excellent food with stunning views, then the Aviary Rooftop Bar & Restaurant in Finsbury Square is the place to be!

Famous for breath-taking scenery, a stylish and contemporary interior and excellent cuisine created by a highly skilled team of chefs, this restaurant is a must-visit if you are looking for an incredible space to celebrate with friends and family.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; diners can experience the picture-perfect views over the city while sampling a delectable array of seasonal dishes created using the best locally sourced ingredients.

The restaurant is also an excellent spot for a few pre-dinner drinks and mouth-watering cocktails thanks to the rooftop bar which is open to visitors and locals alike.

Situated atop the Montcalm Royal London House hotel, this is one of the best restaurants and bars in London for amazing views and can be reached from any of our London accommodation choices either via taxi, bus or the Tube that serves the Finsbury Square area.

The Switch House

If you’ve had your fill at one of the many restaurants and bars in London and are hungry for a little culture, get a flavour of the latest pieces of contemporary art at the Tate Modern and enjoy some incredible views at the same time.

A 10 storey building situated next to the former power station that the Tate Modern calls home, the Switch House is one of the latest spaces to be dedicated to live art, installation and film and has the added bonus of offering jaw-dropping views of London from up high.

An ideal place to visit for anyone with an interest in visual arts and photography, be sure to bring your camera along for your stay at our London accommodation as you are sure to want to take a few frames of these urban vistas.

Getting to the Tate Modern is easy from our 5-star hotels in London, with the Tube being the fastest and easiest way of reaching this iconic riverside venue. However, for a different perspective on the city, you can also take the Tate clipper boat. It links the Tate Modern and the Tate Britain and leaves from the Bankside pier just outside of the Tate Modern.

Tower Bridge

One of London's most easily recognisable landmarks, Tower Bridge is steeped in history and offers awe-inspiring views of the River Thames and the city which flanks the water's edge.

Constructed by architect Sir Horace Jones between 1886 and 1894, the structure used more than 70,000 tons of concrete and took more than 400 workers years to complete.

Now, the bridge is used by more than 40,000 people each day as they pass from one side of the city to the other.

Connecting the north and south side of the city, the two towers are linked by a suspension bridge and pedestrian walkway which sits more than 40-metres above the river during high tide. It offers a great vantage point of the river and the many vessels that pass beneath the tower each day.

Climbing to the top on a tour not only gives you an excellent insight into the role that Tower Bridge has played for the city over the years, it also gives you an incredible perspective on the city. If you are looking for a few unique holiday snaps from your time spent at our London accommodation and want something iconic for your Insta feed, this is the spot to be.
