Three Parks Near Royal London House You Have to Visit this Autumn

Autumn is always a special season, and not just because it means Christmas is around the corner. There’s something special about the changing of the seasons, as the leaves take on a variety of vibrant colours and the cold begins to settle in.

St Luke’s Garden

Nestled in the shadow of St Luke’s Church, the attendant gardens are a beautiful, calm oasis only a ten-minute walk from hotels near Liverpool Street Station.

This is a secluded, somewhat hidden spot and that makes it’s a great place to visit and take in the changing of the seasons. St Luke’s is an immaculately tended space, with cherry trees, palms, flower beds and cultivated lawns combining to make the garden on of the areas hidden gems. It’s little wonder that the gardens have a Grade II listing.

Even better, St Luke’s Church was one of the very first Neo-Gothic churches built in the capital, and it has the tallest nave of any London parish church. St Luke’s Garden is a gorgeous place and an ideal spot to take in the coming of autumn.

The Regent’s Park

Just a short Tube ride away from Montcalm Royal London House – City of London, Regent’s Park is one of the most beautiful green spaces in the capital. One of the main reasons it’s such a wonderful park to visit is the fact that Regent’s Park has a plethora of expertly designed and maintained areas to explore on a chilly autumn afternoon.

If it’s formal gardens and manicured lawns you’re seeking, then Regent’s Park has got just that. If, however, you prefer a lakeside walk or something a little off the beaten track, then you’re in luck there, too! You can take in the on-site lake while walking under weeping willows in beautifully preserved wild areas if that’s your style. Regent’s Park has something for everyone, and it’s a glorious place to sit, ruminate and enjoy the changing seasons.

St Paul’s Festival Gardens & Carter Lane Gardens

We combined these parks as they’re all right next to each other and all worth taking the time to check out – plus they’re just a quick journey from hotels near Liverpool Street Station. The Festival Gardens around St Paul’s and Carter Lane Gardens all follow a similar theme, with a modern design and lots of open, grassy areas. The various gardens are all right next door to St Paul’s Cathedral, and there are few better places to take in the windy, wild coming of autumn than in the shadow of one of London’s most famous landmarks.

Aside from the setting, the gardens are wonderfully well-kept and don’t lack for shaded, tree-lined spots. It’s the ideal park to grab a nice hot chocolate and simply watch the world move past.
